French Lessons in Schools
Are you looking for an experienced native speaker teacher to come and deliver weekly classes to your school?
Listed below are the classes I offer. I have designed these classes to ensure progression from one year to another following the national curriculum and the Common European Framework of References for Languages (CEFR). I also offer after school clubs (minimum 10 pupils please) and I am very happy to come and meet you, discuss the needs of your school and of course deliver a taster lesson.
KS1 French
Year R, 1 and 2
At this stage, children learn French through games, songs and stories. They progressively also learn to recognise the written form of some words and the sound patterns. The children love meeting new puppets every week!
The programme I offer is designed to follow the topics the children cover with their class teacher. My programme can be adapted to your needs and the topics your school covers.
KS2 French
In KS2 pupils carry on developing the four main skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing. I ensure that the children enjoy the experience, by exposing them to a wide variety of methods to make sure that the learning is accessible for all. I have created and developed SOWs to enthuse learners and develop their curiosity. They not only develop their language skills they also learn about French culture and traditions by celebrating for instance some French festivals.
Year 3 - Les Mini Loustics – each session is 1 hour
Year 4 - Les Loustics – each session is 1 hour
Year 5 - Les Super Loustics - each session is 1 hour
Year 6 - Les Explorateurs – each session is 1 hour
